Privacy Policy

EchoStars ("we", "us") runs this waitlist landing page and the free natal chart calculator at echostars.app. This page explains what data we collect across both and why. We don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.

What we collect

Email address. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address so we can notify you when EchoStars launches. We use it for that purpose only.

Analytics. With your consent (via the cookie banner), we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type. If you decline, no analytics script loads and no analytics data is collected from your visit. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

Language preference. Stored locally in your browser (not sent to us) so the site remembers your language on return visits.

Birth chart data

The natal chart calculator asks for your birth date, time, and place. That birth place is sent to Google Maps Platform (Geocoding, Places, and Time Zone APIs), via our own server — never directly from your browser — solely to work out where and when you were born precisely enough to calculate your chart's planetary positions. On its own, calculating a chart doesn't store your birth details on our side; it's not saved unless you create a shareable link (below).

Shareable chart links

If you choose to create a link — via Share → Copy Link, or the native share sheet — we store your birth details and the generated chart image so the link keeps working whenever it's opened, including by someone you shared it with. These links don't expire automatically. You can request deletion of a share link by contacting us (see Contact below).

Email delivery

If you ask us to email your chart, we use the email address you provide and the chart image solely to send that one email. We don't store the address afterward, and we don't add it to any list.

Cookies & local storage

We don't set tracking cookies ourselves. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors. We use your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember your cookie choice and language preference — this is required for the site to function and isn't a tracking mechanism.

Third parties

We use Google Maps Platform to resolve birth places entered into the natal chart calculator. Google Analytics, when you consent to it, is provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. None of these are used for advertising or shared with other third parties by us.

Your choices

You can change your analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the cookie banner again on your next visit. You can request deletion of your waitlist email, or of a natal chart share link, by contacting us below.
